Potassium Polyacrylate Agriculture Solutions

Dec 17th,2025

SOCO’s agriculture portfolio centers on potassium-based superabsorbent polymers (SAPs) engineered to “unlock greater value from every drop.” These hydrogels rapidly absorb and lock in water, then release it back to roots as soils dry—improving establishment, extending irrigation intervals, and stabilizing plant performance under heat and drought. The range includes crop- and use-specific grades and services:

TRPSORB–Hydrogel for Adult Trees

Designed to improve moisture management around mature root systems during transplanting and aftercare. Used alongside best practices (root pruning, pruning/leaf removal to lower transpiration, trunk moisture management, transpiration inhibitors, rooting stimulants, proper planting depth), TRPSORB helps adult trees re-balance water quickly post-move. Safe, biodegradable, and easy to apply for landscaping, forestry, orchards, and commercial plantations (including avocado).

FERTISORB–Hydrogel for Fertilizers

Potassium-based hydrogel for fertilizer coating or blending. It creates a localized moisture reservoir around granules, improving nutrient availability and reducing losses. Compared with sodium-based hydrogels, potassium chemistry is preferred in agriculture to avoid soil salinization and to maintain crop-friendly cation balance—enabling innovative, lower-compound fertilizer products with equal or better efficiency.

BIOSORB–Hydrogel for Seedling

Built for seedling handling and long-distance transport. BIOSORB forms a protective moisture gel around roots to reduce water loss, prevent desiccation, and keep stock viable through logistics. It minimizes damage from repeated watering and keeps the process cleaner and more consistent—well suited to nurseries, forestry, and large distribution chains.

HORTISORB–Hydrogel for Horticulture

A potassium-based water-retaining agent tailored to horticulture. It boosts soil/media water-holding capacity and can significantly cut irrigation frequency by maintaining a reservoir in the root zone. Repeated absorb–release cycles help improve structure and root development for flowers, ornamentals, fruit trees, vegetables, and landscape beds. Biodegradable and safe.

Platform capabilities and services

SAP++ engineering options: multi-liquid handling capability, flexible absorption rates, adjustable capacity, and diverse particle sizes.

Customization services: product tuning to crop, substrate, irrigation regime, or climate.

Technical support: “Ask the Expert,” sampling, and rapid quoting.

How to integrate in practice

Placement: Keep granules in the active root zone (band/blend for trees, substrate mix for seedlings and horticulture, blend or coat for fertilizers).

Pairing: Combine with transplant best practices for trees; with balanced NPK and micros for field/hort; and with robust logistics SOPs for seedling transport.

Sizing and grade: Match particle size to application method—finer for mixes and coatings; coarser for field incorporation or planting holes.

Why potassium-based SAPs

Agronomic compatibility: Avoids sodium loading and supports plant-friendly ion balance.

Water-use efficiency: Rapid uptake, strong retention, controlled release.

Sustainability: Biodegradable and designed for safe use in agricultural environments.

If you share crop, soil/substrate, irrigation method, and climate, I can recommend grade selection, incorporation depth, and starting dose ranges tailored to your program.
